Position: Part Time Certified Peer Specialist

Position description:
Lehigh Valley Consumer/Family Satisfaction Team, dba Recovery Partnership employs a team of Certified Peer Specialists who work in a variety of positions including forensic peer support through contracts with NC Department of MH, Lehigh County Conference of Churches and Magellan Behavioral Health. Peer Specialists encourage self-advocacy, personal choice, and personal responsibility. They facilitate community integration and use of natural supports.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Current PA Peer Specialist Certification
- Commitment to consumer choice and empowerment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to establish trusting relationships with peers
- Ability to navigate the community successfully, either through public transportation or personal vehicle
- Able to nurture one's own mental, emotional, and physical well being so that the CPS can function pertinent to the job and model healthy functioning to those we serve.
