Training Vendors in Pennsylvania

There are two vendors approved in Pennsylvania to provide Certified Peer Support Specialist training and Supervisor trainings, The Institute for Recovery and Community Integration and Recovery Innovations.

The Institute for Recovery and Community Integration, a part of the Mental Health Association of Southeastern PA, is one of the two training vendors approved to give Certified Peer Specialist training in Pennsylvania. The Institute's Web site offers articles and information about recovery and peer support, and also hosts online discussion forums for peer specialists and for supervisors of peer specialists.

• Peer Support and Advocacy Network, in partnership with The Institute for Recovery and Community Integration, provides Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPS) and CPS Supervisor trainings in the western Pennsylvania area.
• Recovery Edge Peer Support in direct affiliation with our Innovative Training Institute of America, through a contract with the The Institute for Recovery and Community Integration provides Certified Peer Support training in the Pottsville area of Pennsylvania.

Recovery Innovations is one of the two training vendors approved to give Certified Peer Specialist training in Pennsylvania. Their Web site includes information about recovery and peer support, including a chapter from their Certified Peer Specialist (Peer Employment Training) manual.
